Happy Halloween!

Here are some of the latest Halloween illustrations and projects I did for The House that Lars Built. I linked the rest in the post below (did you see them all?) Maybe it's my love of the ethereal and unexplained, but I truly love this holiday. I did some candy cards, which you can download as a little poster or printable, and some candy bags, which you can also print out and use for candy gifting or trick or treating (tonight!)

My favorite Halloween was probably when my parents took me to a thrift store and I picked out a vintage dress and then my dad fashioned some wire hoops in the bottom part so it looked like a colonial hoop-skirt dress (we were living in Virginia and I was obsessed with that time period!!) Then we had a parade at school, and in the field, one of the teachers had dressed up as Death, and had a cart and was wheeling it around, until he stopped and began digging, pretending he was digging a grave. It was so spooky because we didn't know who it was and it was far enough away that it was just super creepy.

Those were good times.

  1. Gorgeous place, I just went here with someone. The place itself was beautiful and spacious, the seats were comfortable and wide. From where I was sitting at least, the views from LA event venues were great. I think the music really did a great job of filling up the space.
